A Chef and A Somm, provides an ultra premium dining experience in the comfort of your own home. We use local ingredients for our dishes, but use wines from around the world to truly complement and enhance our food pairings. We specialize in customized food and wine pairings, which gives a superb dining experience. We are also featuring Travis and Victoria's amazing tasting menu New Orleans 10 best bites!
How it Works
Victoria and Travis have created many dining experiences together. As a team, they help create a memorable food pairing event for you and your guests. A chef and a somm, focuses on intimate dinners around the New Orleans area. They work with you as a client, and help figure out what your dining needs are. Victoria and Travis focus on creative menu's that meet their clients requests and then expand to try and give their guests the ultimate private dining experience. Three custom menu's are created based on the wants and needs of the guest. They then have a consultation with their clients to figure out a price they can afford, as well as to further customize there experience. This includes anything from extra courses, premium vs regular wine pairings, as well as desserts or savory courses. Most private chef companies, have a "cookie cutter" meal, but Victoria and Travis specialize in making sure that their clients are just as involved in the creative dining process as they are.

Our Story A Chef and a Somm - Victoria Impastato & Travis Webb
Their story began in the heart of Napa Valley. A true mecca for extraordinary food and wine experiences. As a sommelier, Travis didn't always have a true wine passion. However, it developed when he moved to California at the age of 19 from Dallas, Texas where he worked at the world famous Copain Wines in Healdsburg, California (His father was an investor). There, he received his first insight to how true wine is made. He has always believed that an exceptional wine is made from both science and art. The love for the grape must always come first. This mindset has driven some of the best winemakers in the world to produce not only a piece of art, but a consumable masterpiece. As Travis got older he trained in some of the most famous Hotels and restaurants that America has to offer. All the way from Michael Mina at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, to Meadowood Resort in Napa Valley. Wine Has always been a passion for Travis. The way a great chardonnay's acidity rolls off the tip of your tongue, or the way a great Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley expresses great depth and terroir. Victoria comes from a different place. As a young chef, Victoria dedicated her life to excellence of food and dining. she started learning how to cook at young age, at her grandfathers restaurant back in New Orleans. Sal and Judy's to this day is still one of the greatest Italian restaurants in the state of Louisiana. She moved to California to follow her passion for food. Although California might have changed the way she views farm to table, she has never forgotten her roots, and cooking style. Heavy spice, bold flavors, and a little New Orleans flare. Together Travis and Victoria, love to put a smile on our clients faces. They want people to remember that night, and use the experience that A Chef and A Somm gives them as a benchmark to what food and wine can do together.
